Delete your Akagum account
You can delete your Akagum account and everything in it whenever you like. This page is for people using the app and for people who can no longer open it.
Option 1 — In the app (fastest)
- Open Akagum and sign in.
- Go to Profile.
- Tap Delete my account, enter your password and confirm.
This deletes your account immediately.
Option 2 — By email
If you can't sign in, email privacy@getakagum.com with the subject "Delete my Akagum account", from the email address you registered with. If you write from a different address we may ask you to confirm it's yours. We act on verified requests within 30 days, usually much sooner.
What is deleted
- Your login, name, email, profile and photo
- All accounts, transactions, goals, subscriptions, income, bills, receivables and savings circles you added
- Your Ask Akagum messages and notifications
- Your sign-in sessions and push-notification tokens
What may remain, and for how long
- Encrypted backups made before deletion expire within 90 days. They are not used to restore a deleted account.
- If you ever joined the waitlist, that email is held separately; ask us in the same email to remove it too.
- Information we are legally required to keep, if any.
Want to keep your numbers first?
Before you delete, go to Profile → Export my data to download your transactions.
Deleting an account is permanent. We can't restore it.
