Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Anoki & Co Limited about using Akagum (the app, the web app and the website). By creating an account or using Akagum you accept them and our Privacy Policy.

1. What Akagum does

Akagum helps you track accounts, spending, goals, subscriptions, bills and income that you enter or import, in the currencies you choose, and answers questions about them. You can also ask for a money report, a PDF with totals and charts built from your own accounts, which you can download on the web app or have emailed to your account address. Akagum is read-only. It is not a bank, does not hold or move your money, does not issue accounts or cards, and cannot make payments for you.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. Give accurate details, keep your password and two-factor codes private, and tell us at once if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for activity under your account.

3. Your data and its accuracy

Bank connection is coming soon. When it becomes available, we will tell you, and the account-information provider used will depend on your region. If you connect a bank, you authorise that provider to share your account details and balance with Akagum, read-only. You can withdraw that at any time.

The figures in Akagum come from what you enter, import, scan or connect. We can't verify them. Scans and AI-read statements can contain mistakes, so check them before relying on them. Check imported totals against your bank's own statement. Money you move between your own accounts is matched automatically and excluded from your income and spending figures. That matching can be wrong, and you can correct it. A report only covers what is in your Akagum, and it is not a bank statement, an audit or a document for tax, lending or legal use. Exchange rates are indicative, come from public sources, and can differ from the rate a bank or transfer service gives you.

You own your data. You give us permission to process it only to run Akagum for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

4. AI answers

Ask Akagum uses a mix of fixed rules and an AI model. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. It is information to help you think, not a recommendation to act. Don't rely on it as your only source for a money decision.

5. Plans and payment

Akagum has a Free plan and may offer a paid Premium plan. The money report is currently part of the Free plan. If you buy Premium, the price, billing period and renewal terms are shown before you pay. Subscriptions bought through Google Play or the App Store are billed and can be cancelled or refunded through that store under its rules. We may change plans and prices with notice; a change doesn't affect a period you've already paid for.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use Akagum unlawfully, try to access another person's account or our systems, probe or disrupt the service, scrape it, reverse-engineer it, or upload content you have no right to share. Don't use it to launder money or to enter someone else's data without their permission.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep Akagum running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may limit how many reports you can create or email in a day. We may change or stop features. If we end the service, we will give you notice and a chance to export your data.

8. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Delete my account, or as described on this page. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, after notice where reasonable.

9. Disclaimers and liability

Akagum is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss arising from decisions you make using Akagum, from inaccurate data you entered, or from third-party services. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and ₦50,000. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence, or removes rights you have as a consumer.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will give notice of material changes in the app or by email before they apply. If you keep using Akagum afterwards, you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Courts in Nigeria have jurisdiction, without removing any consumer protection that applies to you where you live.
